These 3-way diverter valves are designed to have the flow run from the CENTER port to either side (center port must be the inlet to work properly with no leaks or compromising of the seat). Flow from the center is designed to go in an L-pattern, either to the left or right (however by positioning the handle, flow to "both" sides can be done but there will be flow reductions and the valve seat could be compromised). The 316SS are designed for 1000 psi water, oil, or gas - and have a top mount pad/holes. These are typically not used in hydraulic applications due to surging, temperature, and pressure requirements (refer to our N10714 heavier pattern hydraulic valves).
