Guillemin symmetrical couplings are primarily used in France and Belgium and are made to EN14420-8/NF E29-572 standards. John Morris fittings have male and female halves that are also known as British Instantaneous (British Cam & Groove). The female coupler has spring loaded arms that disconnect when pulled. These are typically found in UK and Europe (BS336) and are used on international marine vessels. Nakajima fittings have 2 identical halves that can be connected with a 1/4 turn. They are typically found in Japan and across Asia (JIS F-7335 standards) and are used on international marine vessels. Machino fittings have male and female halves (female has rubber bumper) that are pushed together to connect. They are typically found in Japan and across Asia (JIS B9911 standards) and are used on international marine vessels. Shipyard fittings are used international marine vessels and in foreign shipyards for air or water service. Every hose barb size uses the same size threaded nut and features a metal-to-metal mechanical seal (female metric fine thread M42x2 JIS B 0207). Stem and nut are sold separately.
