Our Contractors Water Suction hose is suitable for heavy duty, rugged applications where more economical PVC hoses will not stand up, such as in heavy construction, irrigation, mining, and dewatering. Its rubber construction provides excellent resistance to cutting, gouging, and weathering. It is not designed for food grade applications, high volume water transfer, pressure pumping water over a distance, or continuous heated applications such as glycol transfer. NL2120 has been traditionally classified as a 'suction hose', but it is also used for discharge where the hose must retain its shape. Most 'water' hoses are not designed for "critical" water applications (such as on permanently installed pumps), as water hoses typically only have a 3:1 safety factor and will fail in pressure or surge applications over time. For critical water suction or discharge applications we recommend using a petroleum or chemical hoses with higher safety factors (hoses up to 250-400-500-600 psi available).

Detail Comments: This hose is not designed for permanent installation in piping systems, especially in short lengths for pump connectors, generators, chillers, HVAC units, or other applications where hard pipe, expansion joints, or stainless steel braided hoses are typically used.
