NL8105/8106 are flexible, lightweight hoses designed for full vacuum or transfer of light abrasive materials (wet or dry) such as sand, stones, fly ash, metals, pellets, fertilizers, light slurries, bark, as well as various chemicals, waste, or water solutions (use spiral clamps with wet materials for proper sealing). It has a "hardened external PVC helix" that provides low dragging friction across concrete or rough surfaces, and its polyurethane tube is more durable than PVC. It is light in weight like a PVC hose, but provides the durability of a rubber hose (rotate during service). We offer two brands, NL8106 offers a lower price point alternative to higher end, proven brand name products and is designed to compete with lower cost alternatives being introduced to the market. For highly abrasive products we recommend going with other products such as NL8110, NL8155, etc. *Service life of material handling hoses may vary depending on the operating conditions, hours of use, and the product being conveyed. Always rotate the hose regularly for even wear and inspect the tube for degradation before use. Continuous flexing of a hose within 18 inches of a fitting is a common cause of hose failure. We recommend installing a 12 to 16 inch section of Banding Coil to the hose end that is over flexing.

Construction: Tube: Smooth, clear polyurethane, static-dissipating (conductive). Cover: Corrugated, black PVC hardened for lower dragging friction. Reinforcement: Rigid, left hand (counter clockwise) PVC helix.

Typical Fittings: Insert type fittings can wear out prematurely with highly abrasive products; N676 left hand spiral clamps, N51 double bolt clamps. Note: Spiral clamps or N70-C2xx strapping must be used for proper sealing with wet materials.
