Although these Dixon WS are functionally the same as Snaptite 75 and VFF-HD series, we do not recommend intermixing brands of critical application products. They are used in oil field and offshore oil rig applications and are offered in a standard series as well as a BOP (Blow-Out Prevention) model for hazardous service where couplings are required to operate under fire conditions in an emergency. The BOP models have been fire tested and are Lloyd's certified to 700°C (1300°F) in accordance with API 16D. The BOP models are individually marked with the BOP series designation and manufacturing date code.
