Molded Spherical units are popular and versatile expansion joints with an open, flowing arch that reduces turbulence and light sediment buildup. They are inherently stronger than conventional 'hand built' spool arch type, and are seen across a wide range of simple pumping applications in wastewater treatment, low pressure/light sludge, oil & gas mud systems, chiller & hot water, and pulp or processing facilities. This series is NOT for use in slurry or abrasive applications as they will wear out prematurely. Their floating flanges allow for easy alignment during installation. Depending on the media, temperature, etc., the most popular are EPDM tube & cover, Nitrile Tube/Neoprene cover, and Neoprene tube & cover (substitute EE suffix).
