Heavy Duty Pattern/High Pressure Camlocks (Aluminum and SS) - 268H
These heavier pattern camlocks with special HD locking arms are rated for higher working pressures than traditional camlocks (see pressure ratings below). It should be noted that HD camlocks, their gaskets, and the nature of their arms do indeed have limitations in certain aggressive applications, as compared to a traditional flanged/bolted end connection, or a mechanical seal. Always inspect couplings before and after each use and use safety devices. They are available in aluminum (suffix AL), stainless steel (suffix SS), brass (suffix BR) and ductile iron (suffix CI). Always confirm if gasket material is compatible with fluid (refer to the back of the 'Camlocks Section' for full listing of gasket materials).
Rated Working Pressure @ 20°C (70°F) DEPENDS ON MFG BRAND AVAILABILITY: 3/4" to 1-1/4"- size = 600-800 psi, 1-1/2" to 2" sizes = 500 psi, 2-1/2" to 3" = 250-400 psi, 4" = 200-300 psi, and 6" = 150 psi.
Temperature Range: As a guide only, aluminum may be suitable for -150°F to +250°F.
