This is a stitch bonded, synthetic fabric which has been fully impregnated with neutral petrolatum based compounds and inert fillers for protection against corrosion, salt water, road salt/ice melt, and waterproofing of pipes, flanges, valves, fittings and other metal parts. It will not harden, peel, or crack (remove dirt, oil, scale, or excessive moisture before applying) and resists acids, alkalis, and salts. It is hygienically harmless/non-polluting and the standard product has a temperature range of -5°C (+23 °F) to +45°C (115°F).
