These are a step between standard gear clamps and heavier duty T-Bolt style clamps. They feature a 316 stainless band and housing with a completely smooth interior to eliminate hose cover damage and allow for uniform clamping grip. Their edges are rolled or beveled to further reduce the chance of cover damage, and their fine threads allow for smooth, easy adjustment and tightening. The heavy duty housing provides for higher torque, band loading and sealing pressure over more economical, standard gear clamps. They are quite popular in marine markets where salt water corrosion is a factor, as well as in higher end automotive, chemical, or industrial applications where a premium, long lasting, corrosion resistant gear style clamp is preferred.
