Hammer Unions and Weco Unions - 175

Hammer Unions are designed as heavy duty, high pressure flow line connectors. They are commonly found in chemical plants, on marine dredging vessels, in strip mines and in the oil industry (depending on model, for sand slurry, oil, water, steam, etc). The colour coding system on Hammer Unions represent the different configurations and pressure ratings (Fig #'s are also normally stamped on the union as well); pressures range from 1,000-15,000 psi depending on the size and configuration. Warning: Certain union components for the same nominal pipe size but with a different figure number, such as Figure 1502 and Figure 602, may appear to mate but actually have inadequate threads which can be mistakenly overlooked and lead to a coupling blow out causing severe injury, property damage, and / or significant loss of the product being conveyed. Never interchange different Fig Series. Fig 100: Used on low pressure manifolds, tank truck transfer, and in applications running air, water, oil or gas up to 1,000 psi NSCWP* Fig 200: A popular union used in general service applications running steam, air, water, glycol, oil or gas up to 2,000 psi NSCWP* Fig 206: Similar to the Fig 200 but has an O-Ring mounted in a machined groove on the male half for added sealing properties (Fig 206 will NOT seal when threaded with a Fig 200 - do NOT intermix). Used for running air, water, oil or gas up to 2,000 psi NSCWP* Fig 400: For use up to 4,000 psi NSCWP*, can be found on 2" Kelly Hoses. Fig 602: Lip type seal ring minimizes fluid turbulence while creating a pressure seal. For use in mud lines, manifold service and truck mounting applications running air, water, oil, gas or mud up to 6,000 psi NSCWP*. Fig 1002: Lip type seal ring minimizes fluid turbulence while creating a pressure seal. For use in high pressure systems and truck mounting applications running air, water, oil, gas or mud up to 10,000 psi NSCWP*. Fig 1502: Lip type seal ring minimizes fluid turbulence while creating a pressure seal. For use in mud lines, manifold service and truck mounting applications running air, water, oil, gas or mud up to 15,000 psi NSCWP*.
